The striped swing dress is a perfect Fall piece to layer with just about anything! Pair a jacket, cardigan, or blanket scarf with the already chic and comfortable style and you are ready to go. Black and white is my go to choice but burgundy, olive, brown or any other fall color pairing will get you the perfect look! Add some chunky jewelry and a great neutral bag to finish off the outfit. In just a few short hours it will officially be the weekend! I have had a long week on the road for work and am glad to be back in Dallas for a relaxing few days. Celebrating with a fun combination of graphic tank and sequin skirt today. I specifically like this sequin skirt because it has a more casual t-shirt material paired with the sequins to make it more everyday friendly. Not many would pair a dressy skirt with a more casual tank, but I find mixing pieces for different occasions to be a fun twist! Throw on a cardigan and dark lip color and you are set for Fall! Get the look by clicking on the individual pictures below! (The skirt in the link is the actual skirt I have on from one of the lines we carry, but any sequin skirt will work!) If you haven't quite noticed yet, olive is the new black this season. Fashionistas are using this color as a neutral option when putting their fall looks together everyday, and my mom has always said it's my color so I'm certainly not complaining... ;) Click the pictures above to see how I wore olive with this easy little shift dress! One trend I have been loving for a while now is the boyfriend style jean with a sassy pair of heels. Worn with graphic tee's in the summer and now being paired with a sweater for fall, it's a fun yet fashion forward look for any day of the week! Don't be afraid to bring the lighter wash denim from summertime into fall either. It pairs beautifully with all of the darker colors you are likely to be buying! Another trend I've noticed in some of our clothing lines at work, higher necklines! I brought this detail into my look today with another one of my favorite statement necklaces to pull the attention to that spot. Click the pictures of each individual item to get the look for yourself! Saturday afternoon Karson and I decided to check out the new J. Crew Mercantile that opened up on Park Lane. Not only did we both find some great Fall styles to stock up on, but everything was 40-60% off on top of the already discounted prices! The awesome army green vest above was one of those purchases, as well as the black dress from my last post. The great neutral color booties were a purchase I made at DSW a few weeks back that literally go with everything! If you don't shop at DSW already, do yourself a favor and go browse the website. Everything is marked down to much more affordable prices. The statement necklace was one of my many finds from the jewelry section at Forever21. I don't usually shop their accessories, but after finding a large amount of necklaces that I loved at such low prices this weekend, I will be going back! Be sure to click the pictures of each style to get the look for yourself! Yesterday, Karson mortified me by getting down on one knee in front of CVS to ask me out on a "wife date" as he calls it. So romantic, right? Haha. This was after a day of shopping for the both of us, and I knew just the look to wear to dinner. I decided to keep it simple by just wearing my new black dress from J. Crew Mercantile with a statement necklace and my grey booties. But I also wanted to share some fun other ways to wear this outfit for other events by throwing my favorite plaid button up into the mix! Check out the three ways to style this look above. Get the look below by clicking on pictures for links to purchase each item! So I didn't win first place for the Pearle 88 Apple Watch contest, but I did get second! For my effort, they sent me this sassy snakeskin dress of theirs and I love it! So flowy and fun for the fall! You can see above I even paired it with a simple black belt and cardigan for when it cools down a bit. Check out the same snakeskin print of theirs in a shorter option below, as well as the same body of the dress I have in a different print below! Click the pictures for links on where to buy them. I love being able to get more than one look out of one top and my new plaid top is no exception! By adding the below $20 (yes $20!) jeans and new booties to the mix, I got a much more casual look with the button up! Click the pictures below for where to find these styles.
The button down suede skirt is THE staple of this fall. Every boutique seems to have posted it at least ten times on their instagram, and they can be found in a range of colors. Check out how I styled mine, and where to find the skirt, lookalike top and shoe below by simple clicking on the pictures!
Yesterday afternoon Karson and I went out to Grapevine's wine tasting festival, Grapefest, for some yummy fun! It was a bit of a cloudy day and I decided to match my look to the weather by mixing old and new pieces in shades of grey. My comfy maxi dress that I knotted on one side was actually something I ordered from our line at the showroom, Nanavatee. It had small side slits that I extended up with scissors to help create a bit of a sexier look from such a casual t-shirt dress. After adding my tribal necklace and my new boots that I LOVE, I decided to reverse my leather bag (check out my previous post on this great tote) to the burgundy side to add some color. I have been looking for the perfect soft, grey leather booties for this fall for a while now and was so excited to find these southwestern style kicks last week! You can find these awesome booties from Nordstrom by clicking the picture above! Still contemplating whether I should get them in the camel color as well... Forever 21 has a lot of lookalike dresses if you search their Maxi T-shirt dress collection online. Check out my top favorite options below! |
